Ooceraea biroi, commonly known as the Clonal Raider Ant, is an extraordinary species that defies conventional ant biology. Unlike most ant species, O. biroi lacks a queen caste—every worker is a fertile female capable of reproducing through thelytokous parthenogenesis, resulting in genetically identical offspring.
